FAMILY THERAPY

The purpose of family therapy is to help family members improve communication, solve family problems, understand and handle special family situations (for example, death, divorce, financial problems, serious physical or mental illness, child and adolescent issues, etc.), and create a better functioning home environment.

 

Family therapy can be helpful on many levels.  A good course of family therapy may help:

  • Develop and maintain healthy boundaries

  • ·Foster cohesion and communication among family members

  • ·Promote problem solving through understanding of family patterns and dynamics

  • ·Build empathy and understanding

  • ·Reduce family conflict

**Therapy hours vary. Before and after office hour sessions are available. Please call the front office for additional information about a specific therapist's hours and availability. 

The Clinicians Office is an unincorporated association of practitioners, each of whom is a sole proprietor therapist.  Communication with a therapist or staff member in our office does not by itself create a client-therapist relationship or constitute the provision or receipt of psychotherapy services.  Any communication with a therapist  or staff member in our office should be considered informational only, and should not be relied or acted upon until a formal client-therapist relationship is established pursuant to a written agreement.
